Greater Than Goods’ mission is to make it easier for teachers to incorporate concrete, pictorial, and abstract components into their lessons. We exist to empower educators who believe hands-on lessons are essential to learning and strive to meet their students’ individual needs.
We provide highly-adaptable products that make running stations easier for teachers. We also provide workshops to teach teachers in a hands-on way, how to run stations in their own classrooms. Our products and services enable teachers to quickly and easily engage students with effective concrete, pictorial, and abstract lessons. We are passionate about our work because we believe that everyone benefits from a well-educated population that is capable of critical thinking and problem solving. |
Greater Than Goods, LLC wants to help foster interactive learning environments where individual student needs are met, group collaboration is feasible, experimentation is encouraged, failure is embraced, adaptation is expected, students are responsible for contributing, teachers lead through questioning, and understanding is built through experiences to make connections.
Despite best intentions, sometimes helping dis-empowers students. Easy now can make things harder later. Being provided answers can make it so the skills for problem-solving don't develop. Hands-on lessons take more time at first, but allow students to develop conceptual understanding to create connections to prior knowledge. We believe in starting slow to go fast and far! |
